The attempts by the Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine to block public tenders are evidence of corruption and pose a threat to Ukraine’s development, Premier Grojsman said, addressing the International Forum of mayors, 112 Ukrayina TV reports Nov. 29.
In a recent move, AMCU blocked the tenders to buy scanners for the customs. Grojsman believes the decision was influenced by corrupt officials and smugglers.
“AMCU performance is an issue of the national security,” the premier said.
Those guilty will be brought to account, he warned. “I will find the means to punish AMCU,” Grojsman said.
