Moscow resettled 300,000 Russians to Crimea – Dzhemilev

The Russian authorities have resettled to Crimea 250,000 persons from the rebel-occupied parts of Donbas and 300,000 Russians from mainland Russia, Crimean Tatars leader Mustafa Dzhemilev said, speaking on 5 Kanal TV late Nov. 23, Ukrinform reports.

“Russia blatantly violated the Geneva Convention banning forced resettlement of people to the occupied territories. The Russians create conditions whereby locals are forced to leave the peninsula. Instead they resettle loyal Russians to Crimea,” Dzhemilev said.

“250,000 persons were brought to Crimea from the occupied parts of Donbas, many with criminal record,” he said.
