SBU agents have exposed a scheme whereby the managers of a large housing construction company and an ex-Odesa city council lawmaker were involved in funding the Donbas rebels, SBU reports Nov. 16.
According to the scheme, the construction company sold part of the housing under the board, transferring cash to the ex-lawmaker.
The ex-lawmaker, now on the run and on the Interpol wanted list, is living in Russia. He paid part of the sum into the rebels’ accounts, SBU says.
To gather more evidence, SBU is currently running checks of the construction company office and homes of its managers.
