Nov. 5, pro-Russian rebels attacked Avdijyvka and Opytne using 122-mm Grad missile batteries. This is a flagrant violation of the Minsk agreements banning involvement of large-caliber artillery, Ukraine army reports Nov. 5.
The rebels fired 137 missiles on Avdijyvka and 110 missiles on Opytne.
Locals with children having Sunday walks in the area had to run for their lives.
The shelling shows that the rebels do not care about the lives of civilians. Their goal is to intensify the conflict in Donbas, the army says.
