Kremlin out to drive wedge between Ukraine and Poland

Russia wants to drive a wedge between Ukraine and Poland as potential allies and does everything to forestall their defense and economic alliance, diplomat and head of European Movement of Ukraine NGO Vadym Truykhan, Obozrevatel reports Oct. 9.

“Poland has a well-developed economy and is a powerful player on international scene. Like Ukraine, Poland is opposed to Russia’s imperial aspirations,” he said

Therefore, Ukraine should react with caution to any attempts to discredit its migrant workers in Poland.

The Polish should be given time to investigate such incidents because any rash actions on the part of Ukraine are playing into Kremlin’s hands,” the expert said.
