Ukrainian army forced to return fire to suppress enemy artillery

Pro-Russian rebels continue to use banned heavy weapons against Ukrainian army positions in Donbas. Oct. 3, the enemy shelled our positions using 82-mm mortars, the army spokesman says.

Near Krasnohorivka, the rebels fired from grenade launchers and small arms.

In the Donetsk zone, the enemy used APC’s 37-mm guns, large-caliber machine guns and grenade launchers near Opytne.

The Ukrainian army retaliated each of the enemy attacks and managed to suppress enemy fire, the army says.
