Donbas militants seize OSCE driver and equipment

Aug. 1, in Olenevka (Donetsk oblast) pro-Russian rebels seized the OSCE truck with monitoring equipment and the driver, keeping them under arrest for 7 hours, OSCE reports Aug. 2.

The rebels violated the Minsk agreement whereby they must not prevent OSCE monitoring equipment from being used in Donbas, OSCE says.

“OSCE needs absolute and unobstructed access to the territories on both sides of the touchline to conduct the monitoring of the ceasefire,” OSCE says in a statement.
