Moldova to extradite corrupt judge to Ukraine

Moldova’s prosecutors announced they will extradite Kyiv judge Mykola Chaus, Ukrayinska Pravda reports Apr. 7.

Chaus who fled Ukraine while on a home arrest requested Moldova’s president to grant him political asylum – but was refused.

Chaus was caught by the police in Kyiv in the act of getting a bribe. The search of his home revealed large sums of illegal money and valuables.

Interestingly, the judge kept part of his dollars in a glass container buried in his garden.
