Near Mariupol, the Russian/rebel troops have used illumination mines containing poisonous agents emitting phosphorous gas, Pavlo Yurchuk, a Ukraine army serviceman, says.
The enemy accelerates shelling with every day. Near Vodyane, the rebels fired from tanks, Grad missile batteries and large caliber artillery to recover the positions they lost last year.
“The enemy is destroying everything which can be used for cover, pushing us to withdraw back to the village. But we have enough power to repulse the attacks and hold ground,” Yurchuk says.
