State of emergency in power engineering god-send to oligarchs – lawmaker

The introduction of the state of emergency in the energy sector by the cabinet on Feb. 15 is not so much linked with the deficit of coal as with the benefits of hands-on control over cash flows on energy markets, Rada lawmaker Hanna Hopko writes in Facebook Feb. 17.

“Hands-on management is a god-send to the oligarchs in the absence of a true fuel balance showing the reserves of coal, gas, oil, heat, electricity.

Only a true balance can show what effective steps should be taken to ensure energy supplies to every city and town,” Hanna Hopko stressed.
