The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has filed 50 criminal charges in courts and got 12 court rulings in the 14 months of its work. This is the beginning, NACB chief Artem Sytnyk told journalists in Kyiv, Ukrinform reports Feb. 10.
The charges amount to UAH1.7 bn ($0.06 bn) incurred by accused officials in damages to the country, he said.
There are 264 criminal cases investigated currently by NACB in which the suspects allegedly embezzled UAH82 bn ($3.3 bn).
Under the Constitution, NACB investigates high-level corruption.
