Since June 2016, 56 SBU security service operatives have been detained, including several Russian spies, SBU chief Vasyl Hrytsak told 112 Ukrayina TV Dec. 28.
As a rule, chief officers have been detained. There are 11 court rulings, 22 cases are under consideration by courts, others are being investigated, he said.
After the 2014 revolution, whole SBU departments sided with the enemy. 80% of SBU Alfa special troops challenged the new SBU leadership and deserted.
“I cannot guarantee we have purged all Russian agents, but we are working on it,” Vasyl Hrytsak said.
