NACB catches PGO official for bribe-giving

Dec. 9, detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau exposed a high-ranking PGO official in the act of giving a $5,000 bribe to auditors investigating money embezzling at PGO in 2015.

NACB opened its investigation in Jan. 2016 of allegations of fake maintenance/supply contracts between the PGO and several front companies. 

The PGO official incriminated in signing the fake contracts tried to pass a $5,000 bribe to a middleman who allegedly represented one of the chiefs of the State Auditors’ Service.
