Due to heavy snowstorms and strong wind 275 cities and town in Ukraine are without electricity, state service for emergencies reports Nov. 13.
In Ternopil, city transport, the only means of transportation, is paralyzed.
Lviv is close to declaring a state of emergency as the weather is expected to deteriorate late Nov. 13 and Nov. 14.
The worst hit oblasts include Khmelnytsk, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsya and Volyn.
Mountainous areas report 50 cm of snow falling on Nov. 13.
Schoolchildren in western oblasts are advised to stay at home on Monday.
