The cabinet’s claim that the armed forced will get 5% of the budget funding is a lie. The army will get merely 2% and the rest will go to the so-called law enforcement agencies, ex-Rada speaker and Svoboda heavyweight Ruslan Koshulynsky says.
The army is equipped with the weapons dating back to 1987. The initiative of Premier Arseny Yatseniuk to evacuate seven defense industry plants from the war zone in Donbas was ignored, with the plants later destroyed, he says.
Funds for reequipping the army can be obtained by imposing a war tax on Ukraine fat cats, Koshulynsky says, ZIK reports Oct. 25.
