Belarus President Aleksands Lukashenka said Belarus is a peace-loving and is not going to take part in any war, Belta reports Oct. 8.
“We do not want to be entangled in any international conflicts. That is why we will not engage in a war in Syria. However, we take the Syrian problem close to heart and will render help to the Syrians.
We won’t go to Ukraine on tanks, we will go on tractors. Ukrainians are our Slavic brothers,” Lukashenka, often given to loud declarations, said.
The president stressed Belarus had significantly modernized its army, making it possible to repulse any aggressor.
Earlier, Lukashenka declared the joint Belarus/Russia plan to defend western borders.
