A huge explosion rocked Makiyivka, a city in the rebel-held territory of Donbas, in the early hours of Oct. 5, Donetsk governor Pavlo Zhebrivsky wrote in Facebook.
“The ammunition came from Russia. The blast damaged 7 schools, 3 kindergartens, a hospital and houses. Half of the city was left without electricity,” the governor wrote.
After the rebel-held territories are recovered by Ukraine, Kyiv, as the international law prescribes, will file damage suits against Russia to compensate for the losses, Pavlo Zhebrivsky said.
