Sept. 13, Ukraine and Georgia have signed an agreement in Batumi on direct rail/ferry communication.
“We have signed a very important agreement linking Ukraine, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Armenia along the Great Silk Way. We have simplified the logistics, cheapened transit and increased the speed of goods deliveries,” Ukraine Minister for Infrastructure Volodymyr omelyan said after the signing ceremony.
Instead of projected 2-3 months the deliveries are now take 9-15 days, he said.
Earlier, Ukraine signed an agreement with Georgia on sea ferry communication.
