Every 4th refugee unwilling to return to Donbas, poll says
A quarter of Donbas refugees do not plan to return to Donbas within the next several years, a poll run by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology says, Ostriv reports Dec. 7.
54% of respondents view their present status as temporary and would like to return to Donbas, 26% have plans to return to Donbas within the next several years and the rest are undecided, the poll indicates.
Half of respondents name the following condition for their return: stop in fighting, with the other 50% expecting Donbas will become part of Ukraine.
The poll was run in cities Slovyansk, Severodonetsk, Berdyansk, Nikopol, Chuhujev and Derhachi in October of 2015.
