The war in Syria slowed down the Russian offensive in Ukraine, Ihor Semyvolos told Gazeta Nov. 14.
“Russia does not have enough resources to fight on two fronts, in Ukraine and Syria,” the expert says.
Moscow continues to send its troops to Donbas and neighboring territories across the border as Putin is interested in fanning the war in Donbas.
“Now everything depends on Ukraine’s domestic situation. If it deteriorates, with pseudo-patriots go on rocking the boat, Russia will have a chance. If not, the chance will be smaller,” he says.
