Lviv police cracks down on illegal coffee manufacturers

Four underground workshops to make counterfeit coffee have been raided by the police in Lviv. The crooks had 9 automated lines to grind, weigh and seal coffee packages, and UAH550,000 ($22,700) worth of counterfeit coffee, police website reports July 20.

The workshops were making coffee of world’s best brands and  were located in small towns around Lviv.

The crooks are facing fines of up to UAH255,000 ($11,600) and the confiscation of equipment and materials used for falsifying coffee.
