Former posh residence of ex-president Viktor Yanukovych near Kyiv is home to Sich battalion of volunteers, several families of fugitives from Donbas and scores of wounded servicemen needing rehabilitation.
Recently a summer camp for children has opened up there residence. It starts as a day camp where children stay during the day. For the children of Ukrainian army servicemen in Donbas the camp is free, while others’ parents have to pay UAH250 ($12) for each day, UNN reports.
The children, coming to Mezhyhirya in groups of 40, spend the day seeing the zoo, riding horses and learning to play golf.
