Russian representatives will not attend the ceremony in France originally planned for Nov. 14 to transfer the first completed helicopter carrier Mistral, Vedomosti reports Nov. 14.
There won’t be any transfer as France’s Pres Francois Hollande ruled to postpone the handover of the first Mistral in view of the Russian aggression in Donbas.
Meanwhile, the two crews of Russian seamen after training in France are still there, a source in Russia defense ministry told The Vedomosti.
The source indicated that Russia may sue France in court if the vessels are not delivered on time.
Earlier, US congressmen called on NATO to buy out both Mistrals.
