The pragmatic cooperation existing between Pres Poroshenko and Premier Yatseniuk will continue, says Volodymyr Fesenko, UNIAN reports Oct. 27.
“It seems to me both Petro Poroshenko and Arseny Yatseniuk have made correct conclusions of the 2005 confrontation between Yushchenko and Tymoshenko. To follow their way is to face political death, they seem to realize,” Fesenko said.
If the stand-off becomes real, Ukraine will lose all economic and financial support from the West. I, therefore, believe, they will both keep their ambitions in harness, the expert said.
Poroshenko is a flexible and balanced politician, and Yatseniuk will keep his presidential ambitions until the next presidential election, he said.
Poroshenko demonstrates respect for the premier, supporting his moves. This kind of partnership will continue, leaving them both rivals, Volodymyr Fesenko said.
