Oct. 12, Lviv residents will march in the center of the city to commemorate the 72th anniversary of UPA, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, that fought both Nazis and Soviets in WWII, our correspondent reports.
UPA organized a strong guerilla movement in Ukraine that was active till 1954, 10 years after the Red Army entered Lviv and Western Ukraine.
The march was organized by the NGO tracing war victims. The march has the full support of the Lviv city administration.
The marchers will be wearing UPA uniforms.
