By 2020, Russia is to update its strategic nuclear weapons and have an ace up her sleeve, Vice Premier Dmitri Rogozin said, speaking on Rosiya 24 TV Sept. 22, RIA Novosti reports.
The modernization will be complete, not by 70% as stated before, the official said.
According to the earlier schedule, Russia Navy was to be reequipped with modern nuclear weapons by 30% and by 70% by 2020.
“Do we have to astonish our colleagues in the west and do we have to rattle all the weapons we have? We should have an ace up our sleeve to surprise them at a critic al moment,” Rogozin said.
