In the night of July 10, Ukraine army battalion took positions 17 km off Rovenky, Luhansk oblast. Its mission was to cover a stretch of the border with Russia.
At 4.30, the battalion was attacked by fire from Katiusha multiple missile system, Grad.
The deadly fire killed 19 servicemen and wounded 93.
The separatists fired the missiles from the distance of up to 15 km.
Ukraine army retaliated by an air strike, destroying the Grad system.
The big question is who guided the Grad system so accurately. Experts note that separatists rely on the intelligence obtained by Russia from electronic reconnaissance, satellites and civil aviation.
