UPA WWII veterans have similar fringe benefits with Soviet ones

Thanks to a program implemented by the Lviv oblast council, veterans of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army that fought both against the Soviets and Nazis have the same befits enjoyed by their WWII opponents, Vasyl Martynyak, director of the oblast council’s social protection department said Oct. 31.

UPA veterans have housing and utility benefits, as well as access to free spa treatment, the official said.
