Ukrainians are not mature for massive protests, Yulia Tymoshenko writes in her article for Ukrayinska Pravda June 27.
“It is clear that few will take to the streets in Ukraine. Either there are no organizers or the politicians are not in an organizing mood. Even if some will protest, they will do it for money,” Tymoshenko wrote.
She explains the passivity of Ukrainians by the fact that they do not have the spiritual link with their country.
Consequently, she continues, Ukrainians can be easily persuaded to take any foreign political course, something inadmissible for the sake of Ukraine’s EU aspirations, she says.
