Second killer snow storm to hit Lviv

Weathermen have warned about another heavy snow storm that is expected to strike the Lviv oblast on March 22.

The storm, originating in the Balkans, will be accompanied by gale winds, heavy snow falls and low temperatures.

Last week’s snow storm invalidated several oblasts in Western Ukraine, as vehicles were stuck in snow banks for days, city communal transport  blocked and roads and sidewalks made impassable.

The Carpathian mountains have been declared an emergency area, with gale winds and 11-force snow storm on the way.
