Yury Lutsenko urges Ukrainians to pull a plug on the Yanukovych regime at Oct. 28 parliamentary elections, Ukrayinska Pravda reports Aug. 10.
“Events in Ukraine indicate that the country resembles a pile of garbage encircled with barbed wire, not a democracy. The sum total of 2.5 years of Yanukovych rule show that Ukraine is robbed and raped by a bunch of gangsters who came to power,” he said.
He called on Ukrainians to engage the corrupt regime in a battle to stand up by their rights and convictions.
To defeat the mafia, Ukrainians should side with the united opposition at the October elections, Lutsenko said.
