Ternopil lawmakers ban Communist, Soviet and Nazi flags on May 9 Victory Day

Like the Lviv oblast council ahead of May 1 celebrations, Ternopil lawmakers also banned Communist, Soviet and Nazi flags and symbols in the oblast.

In Lviv, prosecutors invalidated the ban, saying the flags of Soviet victory in the WWII can be shown. The Lviv city council is to hold an emergency session on May 8 to confirm the ban.
