Defense lawyers: police falsified evidence in Lutsenko case

The Kyiv Pechersk court started to consider the evidence in the case against ex-Interior Minister Yury Lutasenko. Meanwhile, defense lawyers revealed that some evidence given by witnesses differs from those given by them in the pre-trial investigation, Radio Svoboda reported Jan. 27.

Some of the evidence was not made available to the defense, the lawyers said.

Addressing the court, Yury Lutsenko accused the ex-Interior Minister Mohylyov of illegally gathering evidence related to his case, incidentally, the same charge under which Lutsenko was accused while investigating the poisoning of Viktor Yushchenko.
