The list of invited persons was put on the Lviv city council site by the head of the culture and tourism department, Andry Voronovsky. Asked by journalists if organizers are sure about the coming of Federico Fellini, the official said his arrival in Lviv is a certainty – all said in the presence of another official and his predecessor in the job Andry Sydor who didn’t bat an eye.
The head of culture department should be advised that the noted Italian film producer and playwright Fellini had died 17 years ago.
KinoLev-2010, the 5th international festival of independent film-makers, is due to be held in Lviv Aug. 21-24. The festival will commemorate the 90th anniversary of the birth of Federico Fellini. Maestro’s best films will be dubbed into Ukrainian, organizers say.
