The future of the Kerch bridge that Russia is building to the occupied Crimea is close to a catastrophe, experts and activists claim saying two of its sections have already sagged considerably, Russian human rights activist Elena Vasilieva writes in Facebook Oct. 23.
Russian engineers seem unaware that there is a crust fracture there and there is no bottom – only silt. How the bridge supports are fixed is anyone’s guess, Vasilieva says.
Besides, the construction has not been cleared with Ukraine.
As soon as the bridge is built, Ukraine will file a suit with the Hague Court pressing for the bridge disassembly.
The bridge is 19-km long.
