Poles raised money to pay for surgical and dental operations for a Ukrainian student cruelly beaten in Lublin Aug. 26, Polish Radio reported Aug. 31.
Yevhen, a veterinary student from Ukraine, was heavily beaten by drunk Poles late at night of Aug. 26. The student had his arm and teeth broken.
A dental clinic approached Yevhen’s wife with a proposal to fix his teeth free of charge.
Yevhen was not insured and would have had to pay a lot of money for his medical treatment if it hadn’t been for sympathetic Poles.
The attackers have been detained by the police. They may get a 5-year term in prison for what they did.
