The Ukrainian authorities had committed themselves to create the independent Anti-Corruption Court, Transparency International Ukraine executive director Yaroslav Yurchyshyn told ZIK Aug. 7.
“The explanation why the ACC has not been created is simple – lack of political will at the executive and legislative levels,” he said.
“The judicial reform has not yet started, in fact. The IMF and our European partners expect that it will get off the ground,” he said.
The ACC and its branches in Ukraine will speed up litigation regarding cases of corruption, the TIU chief said.
