In Jan. – June, 2017, Ukraine has increased its sales of electricity to Europe by 44.6% on the similar period in 2016, Ukrainian News reports July 24.
In figures, the exports rose from 975.8 mn KW/H to 3,163.7 mn KW/H.
Ukraine sold 52.9% of its export to Hungary, 22% to Moldova and 19.5% to Poland, the ministry for energy reports.
In Jan.-June, revenues from sales rose by 59% or up by $50.876 mn to $136.351 mn on 2016.
Despite the stoppage of its 5 thermal electricity plants, Ukraine produced 4 bn KW/H more electricity.
