SBU foils attempt to seize PGO public office

SBU Chief Vasyl Hrytsak called journalists July 22 to tell about the attempt to seize the public office of the prosecutor’s general office ten days before, UNN reports.

 “Acting on orders from Russia’s FSB, the goons wanted to enter the public office of PGO. Their plan was to chain themselves in the office, daub its walls with red paint, use posters and chant political demands,” Hrytsak said.

Arrested by the police, the goons admitted they had been hired for UAH400 by the organizers.
 

In all, 34 persons were involved in the operation.

A similar attack was planned on the president’s office, Hrytsak admitted.
