The run-away ex-president Victor Yanukovych’s defense lawyers are feet-dragging on opening the trial, fearing he may tell many things is not wanted to tell, ex-deputy of Ukraine’s prosecutor general Mykola Holomsha said, speaking on 5 Kanal May 19, ZIK reports.
“At the moment the lawyers are doing everything to stall the investigation to prevent the case going to court,” he said.
“We know Yanukovych’s quick temper. He is a loose cannon, especially during court hearings. I think, his lawyers fear his uncontrolled bursts when he may blab out things he is expected to keep mum about,” Holomsha said.
