Russia’s unlawful activities in Ukraine have reached a new level, and any attempts by rebels to expand their territory will be met with tough sanctions, Prime Minister David Cameron told parliament Feb. 23.

Russia is not changing its course, continuing absolutely unlawful and ungrounded actions in Donbas. Moscow has flagrantly violated the Minsk agreement on ceasefire by capturing Debaltseve with the help of Russian troops and weapons Russia gave to rebels, D. Cameron said.

Russia should not doubt that any actions by the separatists to expand their territory near Mariupol or anywhere in Donbas will cause new sanctions, he said.
