The OSCE has put the blame for numerous casualties in Mariupol on the rebel forces, Mariupol city council secretary Andry Fedaj said Jan. 25, TCH reports.
30 residents were killed and 93 wounded in the shelling. About 40 civilians are in a very critical condition, the official said.
In all, 53 multi-storied buildings and 14 houses were hit by Grad missiles, he added.
Rescue teams are working to restore electricity supplies to the area.
The city is distributing plastic film to residents to cover the broken windows, he said.
