Lviv activists held a demonstration outside the Czech consulate in Lviv in the wake of Prague declarations not to back the coming EU sanctions against Russia.

Activists near the Czech consulate in Lviv demanded that the Czech authorities join EU sanctions against Russia and support the brotherly Ukrainian [people, our correspondent reports Sept. 4.

They urged the Czech Republic to remember the crackdown by the Soviet on their revolution in 1968, saying Ukraine is facing the same now.

Pres Putin is a loose cannon and nobody knows what he might do next. We never know the war won’t reach the Czech Republic and other East European countries in several months, the activists wrote on their posters.
