Yanukovych fires corrupt rayon administration head
Pres Viktor Yanukovych fired the head of his Berezovsky rayon administration in the Odesa oblast, Serhy Kukhtyk, for taking a bribe, UNIAN reports Aug. 26.The official was caught by police in early August for taking an $8,000 bribe for allocating a land site. Then, the presidential administration said that the official would be dismissed as soon as the police confirm his wrongdoing.
