Yushchenko didn’t want Hetman’s murder investigated, says Petro Symonenko
Ex-Pres Viktor Yushchenko is an accomplice in the murder of Central bank head Vadym Hetman, Communist leader Petro Symonenko told journalists July 13, commenting on Yushchenko’s declaration that politicians involved in Hetman’s murder are now in power.“Being head of state, Yushchenko covered up the murderers. It means that he didn’t want Hetman’s murder investigated,” Symonenko stressed.
“Yushchenko says those implicated in the murder get cushy jobs in the executive and judiciary. It means that he knows who the murderers are. He knows and keeps a tight lip. Even when president, Yushchenko didn’t make any effort to provide the evidence to prosecution,” the Communist leader declared.
“In view of this, the prosecution must bring to account Yushchenko for hiding the evidence,” Symonenko concluded.
