Regions railroad changes to state budget
Ukraine legislators have adopted changes in the 2010 budget, The Ukrayinska Pravda reports July 8.Two hours prior to the adoption, Communist deputies refused to support the changes, cutting the number of “yes” votes in the initial voting to below the needed majority.
“All Communists proposals have been taken into account,” vice speaker Martinyuk said after the positive vote.
The changes proposed to cut the budget deficit to 4.99% of the GDP, reduce the revenue by UAH13.4 bln and cut the expenditure by UAH18.35 bln.
According to the changes, single-tax small businesses will have now to pay UAH350, not UAH200 as before.
The changes are viewed as an answer to the IMF guidelines for releasing the US$14.9 bln stand-by loan to Ukraine.
