Vandals splash blue and yellow paint on Russian-language school in Lviv. Photos
The provocation happened in the early hours of March 30 at 6, Zelena street, ZIK reports. Most probably, the incident was planned beforehand as in this school the teaching is done in Russian. The police have already visited the scene of the incident. The school employs a night watchman and a video surveillance camera was on.
The vandals evidently tried to daub with blue and yellow paint [colors of the Ukrainian flag] the Polish coat-of-arms painted over the school entrance. The school principal refused to give any comments to journalists, saying she has to attend a city education board session.
Meanwhile, the leader of nationalist Pora faction in the Lviv city council Petro Adamyk has condemned the provocation, saying Lviv is a multi-ethnic and tolerant city.
“It’s not even a provocation, it’s an act of savages. I think, the more we speak about such things, the more idiots will do them,” Adamyk stressed.
The lawmaker said he was confident no political parties will assume responsibility for the incident.
