Tabachnyk explains why he won’t resign

Political and administrative activities differ absolutely, and one can’t accuse him as minister of having made political declarations expressing his political preferences, the education minister added. 

“No one can blame me for any bad decisions made in the 3 days since I started my ministerial job,” he explained.

Simultaneously, he said he takes calmly the motion to sack him tabled in Verkhovna Rada, adding that such initiatives are part of normal democratic procedure.

He recalled that, as opposition education minister in the shadow cabinet, he tabled several motions to dismiss the then education minister, Ivan Vakarchuk, but the motions never gathered enough support.
