Unperturbed, Yushchenko praises his track record
I’m quite satisfied with what I did over my tenure as president because my key task was to reinstate dignity to the nation, former Pres Yushchenko said in Lviv March 10, commenting on the results of a social survey that gave his presidency a failing grade, ZIK reports. “I don’t feel I’m a loser. I feel I’ve done a good work,” Yushchenko said, adding that in the past election democracy didn’t fail in Ukraine and Yanukovych didn’t win.
Yushchenko is sure his work will be properly evaluated in 2-3 years, probably even in 15 years.
Yushchenko explained giving out medals even to members of his guard, saying it was his exclusive right, and the guards performed a very tough mission during the attempt on Yushchenko’s life in 2004 [poisoning].
Answering a question whether he would like to serve as premier, Yushchenko noted he is past the age when he would be attracted by posts, now he is more attracted by [spiritual] values.

He betrayaed all those who supported his election.
He and his party was the main if not sole cause for the collapse of the Orange revolution. The failure to form a governing colaition back in 2006.
He caused seven months of political instability and civil unrest in 2007 by illegally and unconstitutionally dismissing Ukraine's previous parliament . In 2008 he tried to engage Ukraine in a regional war with Russia and then undermined the then existing parliamnetary governement. A government that was supported by his own party. In 2004/5 he held 52% support in 2009 he support had dropped to below 3%.
In January 2010 15 candidates stood against him (four from his own party/faction) he received only 5.5%.
He will be remembers as a failed president.
