Yury Lutsenko: Yushchenko should better give up hopes to get a high-level job
Lutsenko-led Self-Defense NGO, part of the NUNS bloc, says it will not support Viktor Yushchenko for premier, UNIAN reports March 3.Lutsenko also dismissed media reports that he was discussing Yushchenko’s nomination for premier with Vira Ulyanchenko, the former president’s ally.
All the 5 years of Yushchenko’s presidency were the 5 years of pseudo patriotic rhetoric, the period of missed opportunities and fake fight with corruption, Lutsenko said. Given his pitiful track record, Yushchenko should better forget about any high-level government jobs, Lutsenko said.
In her statement released March 2, Vira Ulyanchenko praises the former president for his political clout, expertise in the economy and ability to rally his partners. She ends her statement by saying Our Ukraine is ready to join a viable coalition on condition Yushchenko is made premier.
